How we’ve worked in the past
Redesigning the future of radiology services for New Zealand
Following the decision to shift to a centralised model of how health services are delivered in NZ, Health NZ (Te Whatu Ora) embarked on a journey of redesigning future operating models to improve patient and clinician experiences, adopt new digital and data-empowered ways of working, and reduce inequalities in the system, particularly for Māori populations. Starting towards the end of 2023, we partnered with them on a design sprint to engage key stakeholders in developing a new vision of how radiology services could be delivered, supported by the right digital and data infrastructure. Over multiple interviews, workshops and project working sessions, we developed a strategic narrative and pathway for service transformation over 2-3 years, and supported the development of an investment case to convey the project purpose, needs and outcomes for key decision-makers.

Planning for a sustainable, long-term water future with a water utility
Building an innovation and partnerships capability with a specialist service provider for autistic people
We first helped Aspect, an organisation in the disability services sector, to chart their journey from being a strongly-purpose driven and community-oriented charitable organisation, to being a larger scale organisation that needs an uplift in capability and commerciality. The recent upsurge in diagnosis and community awareness of autism means that there is a rapidly expanding need and range of services that can be offered, but leveraging these opportunities requires new capabilities to take full advantage of the deep specialist expertise they have accrued over more than 50 years of experience. We worked together with them to explore what it would mean to invest into an innovation and partnerships capability and what pathway they need to take as an organisation to take the first crucial steps.

As a government-owned water utility, Hunter Water has to think over long horizons in terms of future infrastructure, technology and climate change impacts, as well as ensuring that they are delivering customer-centric services for today. In partnering on their strategy evolution, we helped them to build a stronger vision on the role they play in partnership with other government and community stakeholders to safeguard and support the environment, lifestyles and economic prosperity of the region.
